This laptop was everything I was looking for and a lot more.
I would just like to thank all those who pointed me to it and showed me where to buy it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I bought it from BTO Tech because they had the best deal out of the 4 re-sellers on the Asus info thread. Although the price was right, I received very poor service from them through AIM. But, I still bought it because the online service on the website was pretty good.
I will try my best to stay active on this forum and try to post a review of this product as soon as I get rid of Vista and install XP on it running.
Once again,
Thank you all

Well good deal. I bought the same notebook almost a month ago. Its been on 24/7 & I haven't hardly touched my desktop since ! I did buy a Zalmon cooler because I was a little concerned with heat with it being on all the time but it turns out I did not need it although I still use it. I have a USB keyboard & a external LCD hooked to it. I also added 4gb of G.Skill & it made a definite improvement in speed. That & removing some bloat is all I've done. I bought mine via ExcaliberPC & I could not be more happy.
Good Luck. -
Well whoever it was, they took an hour to answer my questions on AIM. They also gave me 1-2 word answers and then all the sudden stopped talking to me even though I kept seeking help. I was going to post the conversation on here but decided they probably arnt that rude to everyone and I didnt want to ruin their rep here.
However an hour before that I spoke with them online through their online chat service and whoever that was they were very helpful.
Either way the price was good and $50 less than the other 3 websites (or $30 less after $20 shipping.) I cant wait till the notebook gets here! -

You probably got Eddie both times, he pretty much does all the contacts. He's a busy guy, and isn't always tied intimately to his IM software so you shouldn't slight him for not jumping immediately on an IM; his replies are generally succinct and to the point (fatally so, sometimes
), and if you come across as simply seeking info as opposed to trying to close a sale *any* retailer is going to move on to other things because in a reseller's world time is money and the profit margin in notebooks is too slim to waste it.
Rest assured, Eddie is fabulous when you need him if there is a problem. Enjoy your new toy.
[The above comments are pulled from my experience reading Eddie's posts around here for nearly 3 years, and personal experience in purchasing from him] -
