G51 is better.

haha this is probably true just wondered so that's 1 and 0

The G51 is a better machine. I don't know if it's 200 better but it is the better machine.
-
Well how good in the future will the G51 be at gaming just for a couple years? And if i put in a better CPU?

The low resolution of the Worst Buy G51 is going to let you punt games around for a long time.
-
G51,it has an way better GPU.
-
Since they have the same chassis and both use LED instead of CCFL, why not just upgrade to the same resolution screen as the G51Jx-A1? -

But I'm definitely going for a bigger resolution next time.
And like Min said, there are lots of issues. -
What higher priced version of the G51Vx? They've been discontinued, so GL finding one. Changing the screen also doesn't void your warranty. Unless you go around chopping up cords its about as easy a mod as you can do.
I got a brand new in box G51Vx for $699. Replacing the screen with a higher res one is the only thing I feel needs to be done to it.
I do have a G51Jx-A1 as well. And it definitely wasn't only $300 more expensive. -
Also, the difference between a G51Vx and G51Jx is a lot more than a screen, memory size hard drive warranty (BB warranty vs 2 years of ASUS warranty), video card update, etc. I'm just referring to products of the same time, eg. half a year ago, the difference between a BB G51 and a fully specced G51 was not that much more than $300. -
Well since I bought the bb g51vx this week and it was massively discounted not to mention the last one in a 250 mile radius and the upgraded model hasn't been available for months since online resellers stopped stocking them, I am talking about what's available now. Anything similar costs $899+ and has the same lower resolution screen. The next step to a higher res screen starts at $1299 I believe which is a $600 increase from what I paid for. This won't be a top of the line gaming laptop, but I still want the higher res screen which can be found for $200-ish.
There also aren't any warranty stickers behind the LCD bezel on the g51vx. I'll take pics later when I pry it back off again. Replacing an LCD is as easy as replacing memory as long as you have compatible parts. -
How goes Directx 10 on the g51?

The Asus G50vt-x1 or the Asus G51vx BB edition?
