The W3J has seamingly disappeared from Newegg. Links which used to go to the product page (like the on on the bottom right) now go to a search for the "non-existant" laptop. They completely de-listed it... it doesn't say out of stock like other products do when sold out. On top of that, the W3V now has a $200 mail-in-rebate. I don't know how long that's been going on but it seems they're making room for something...

Now, I don't want to jump to any conclusions - they could just be out of stock or there could be an error on the site - but I'm also hoping this could mean they're preparing for a shipment of a new model...

It has happened before. I remember checking the w3j last month and the listing had disappeared. It came back after a couple days. So I don't think we should read too much into it, but i'd love to be wrong.

It's most likely because they have no more left. They don't stock Asus' notebooks, so when Asus runs out, they're out in the cold.... I know that we're down to only a few and out last shipment from Asus was last week and we're not to expect any more till the Merom models here in about a month.
