Hi!
My problem is that The Witcher jumps out of the game, and to the desktop. I have installed the newest patch 1.1a, and have installed the microsoft hot-fix, but it doesnt help.
Have anyone figured out a solution? Im using 8600GT 512mb ddr2, with the drivers that came with the comp. Are there any newer drivers that runs The Witcher better?

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Yes the newest drivers should make your system more stable with games.

read the quickstart guide. u have vista 32 bit right? -
I have Vista 32-bit Home Premium, yes. So this will maybe get the witcher to run properly? And it doesnt make the computer unstable? Does it disable asus turbo gear?
Since it just are supposed to help for Crysis and Timeshift, maybe it will make the witcher run more badly? -
It includes everything that was released before...
The stock drivers for the 8600GT are known to have way worst performances than the 163.xx and up.
The boost is about a 7600GT to a 7800GTX 256 -
So asus turbo gear and all the functions will work?
-
yes... Turbo Gear isn't even related to the graphicscard

Ok. Thank you for the help.
But when im trying to install, and are at the point "select a device driver", i have two opportunities.
1. NVIDIA GeForce 8600m GT
2. Standard VGA-Graphics Adapter
Which should i use? And should i replace the new inf.file with the one in the driver map? -
Its a driver for Nvidia cards. f.ex. the 8600 ....
The Witcher doesnt work properly at asus c90
