Does anyone know the launch date for this as well as any specs or anything?

I'm wanting to get a laptop. As of now i'm debating between the Sager 5792/3 (also known as Clevo M570RU) and the c90s, but if there is going to be a replacement for the c90s i might wait for that to come out..

Also does anyone know if Sager is coming out with a replacement for the 5792/3 anytime soon?

Ok, you need to stop making new threads for no particular reason. I know you are new on this forum so I'll cut some slack, but keep in mind that you could have just continued from the previous thread.

Anyway to answer your question, there is already a review out on th C90P which I think is an engineering sample. Click here to read the review. It's based on the P35 chipset, which does support Penryn class Desktop processors on 1333FSB. Another notable change are the heatsinks which are now all copper instead of the copper heatpipe, aluminum heatsinks found in the C90S which would be a notable improvement for cooling and likely break the 3.0Ghz barrier that the C90S could not out of the box.

I'm also anticipating this release and most likely upgrade when it is released.

Please do a little searching and reading please before posting questions like this. It's been asked many times before. And as for a Sager you're in the wrong area.

Sorry it has to be this way but non searched questions are flooding these forums.

I didn't want to post a new thread... but i couldn't edit the title of my old one. As far as searching older posts i don't feel like searching them... so i thought i'd ask on here in case anyone knew off of the top of their heads, is there something wrong with that?

Well then, I guess I don't feel like answering any of your questions...

But if you must know. By searching and possible posting in an already created thread you will make it easier for the next guy to find the answers as well. Instead of having to sift through countless threads asking the same question.

Ugh. Well, try and learn to? There is plenty of information at your fingertips with this forum that NBR has so conveniently provided, all you need to do is search with a little patience. You have to realize that not all the users come check the boards everyday and provide solutions instantly, however that does not mean that the information that the regulars provide would be more valuable than those that don't visit often.

Anyhow, I hope I provided some information about the C90P from my previous post.

It looks like those C90P heatsinks are compatible with the C90S.
I can't wait for the C90P to come out because we will finally be getting a few more GPU's to choose from.
I hope the new mainboard fits the C90S. If it's not too expensive i would consider swapping for the new one.

    Yeah thanks too ^^
It would be nice to be able to swap the mobo. Mine will be on warranty till the end of September. By that I mean, if I were to return it "to get full compatibility for my E4500" it wouldn't hurt to put a c90p mobo rather than a new c90s' :d

When the c90p comes out I think I might wait a while before I even consider buying it because I want to avoid any problems with early revisions of the c90p.
Just to be on the safe side. I learned my lesson from my c90s :D

@Zoid & @JCMS: When I wanted to sell my C90S somebody in the forums said that I should take pride in owning the C90S.
That's what I did and I honored it by making a custom sig for it.

I recommend everybody here who owns a C90S to honor it by copying my sig and making your laptop and yourself very happy :D

PS: I might have had a bit too much to drink today!
PS PS and waaay off-topic: Why don't they make these tiny alcohol percentage labels any bigger? Well, it's too late now for me anyways!!!
I just hope I don't feel too ashamed of my posts today when I wake up tomorrow afternoon :D !

I would definately jump on the c90p for its 4gb memory at ddr2-800 as well as the copper heatsinks....the cpu posibilites makes the deal. I plan on buying one as soon as it comes out if i have the money.

This S version works so well for me I really don't have much desire to get something else....so I'll wait a good long while :D

I won't directly go for the C90P either.
I bought this laptop to be more or less futureproof.
What's the point of buying something that's meant to be upgradeable when the first thing you do is buying another laptop?

C90P is gonna be interesting, what are the bets we are gonna have a bunch of folks buying the C90S thinking its the C90P :p

But what if the estore@ASUS started selling just the board from the c90P? :D I would still consider that as an upgradeable part and not buying a laptop...

I would considering that as an upgrade, too.

@Ranger: Yeah, go ahead and use my sig. I am a Linux guy and my sig is released under the GPL :D

Didn't someone do a write up on taking a C90S apart, might help me decide if I should try just going for a mobo. I do have to say if people are going to be upgrading mobo on a notebook it will usher in a new era in notebooks.

Sager notebooks like the 5793 and the 9292 generally get a motherboard replacement when new GPU's, chipsets and CPU's are coming out.
So the new era already exists.
You have to send your unit in for a replacement though.
I hope ASUS is doing the same with the C90S.

LOL@ the sig the user bar I made was used by like 20+ forum members and nobody ever raved about it or gave me rep :(

As for the C90P I am waiting for it to come out and see if it addresses some of the current issues and see if the performance increases enough in any way to warrant an upgrade. Luckily you can probably swap over your ram, hdd, wireless ect and save some money in the process.

My C90 likes to BSOD once in awhile even tho I downgraded to 2gb of ram (3gb never worked right for me).

I just gave you +Rep for your previous posts.
I just remembered you helped me out with CPU speed etc... when I first got my C90S and I never repped you for that.

    So there you go :D
