The Sonata batteries are the real story with the new B series. I hope they catch on and Asus uses them in more notebooks.

I hope they make them available to purchase for other Asus laptops. That would be fantastic.

Asus is finally stepping up to challenge Lenovo, eh? That's one area of the market that they haven't really had too many offerings in as of late, it will be interesting how these stack up against Thinkpads.

What ATI EyeFinity basically do is extending your desktop to external monitor(s) right?

The 3 year warranty on the battery is quite interesting. Most laptops (even business-class laptops) usually carry only a 1 year standard battery warranty.

Any info on when they plan to release this? Other sources seem to hint that it will be out "very soon" or "immediately" and that it is out already in Asia, but knowing Asus, "very soon" could be months away.

I doubt many resellers will have the B (and P for that matter) series in stock. Even the previous generation B & P business series were in limited quantities in the US and not all reseller/retailers had them. The link in the first post listed a few distributors and resellers but none actually had them listed on their site. A quick google search pulled up a few sites that sell them, but none are from any reputable resellers that I know of.

If Asus wants to break into the business sector they've made a giant step with their warranty and battery. They would have taken an even larger step if they had fielded a really superior display 900p at a reasonable price. That's probably the second largest complaint with business class notebooks, if not the first.

Regarding the battery, how comes that if it's so good B43J lasts less than TimelineX 4820TG?
