...is waiting for it to finally arrive!

Right now, FedEx is my arch nemesis.

    Actually...

    Thats wrong.

The worst thing is knowing(or not knowing) that something else cooler, slimmer, better looking and performs better is coming out within a few months.

Eh, that is the nature of all things technology - I'm used to that. I got a 6800GT for my desktop a month after it came out (wanted to let the buggy first shippments sell out first). Another month after that it was no longer 'top-of-the-line'. :p

Oh, and I actually was quite tempted to wait for a W3j, but I really needed a laptop for school and couldn't wait any longer.

Word of warning about FedEx - they changed thier residential delivery policies a few months back (the week before I ordered my W3V, actually). They no longer require a signature upon delivery unless specifically requested by the shipper (for an extra charge), so at 9:30am I got an email saying the package was delivered, at which point it sat on my doorstep, in the rain no less, all day until I got home from work.

That's correct..... that's one reason we've always paid for the signature options and won't let customers get it delivered without them... it's really for the protection of them and us.... but when you add in the rain, it just makes for more of a reason why we do that.

One of the worst things about buying an Asus is telling people you are buying an Asus and the first thing they all say is "A what?" So they think you are buying some off brand of piece of junk...actually maybe it's safer that way. :)

Haha yeah..then after u get it all those people would be saying "Woah, that is one nice looking laptop!". Imo, having a lesser known laptop and laptop brand like Asus is a benefit. Its going to be much more unique (not to mention sexier :D ) compared to the huge amount of Dell and Apple laptops you see everywhere.

But its true..if someone mentions an asus laptop, the other people would say "Wait, dont they make motherboards?" or as Cygnus311 said, "A what?" :p

    Woohoo another benefit from :asus:

Heh...yeah, I got a lot of that from my family when I said I was buying an ASUS. They didn't even really seem to grasp the whole ODM concept either.

everyone has asked me what laptop i bought when i tell them asus they just get a blank stare, im like you know the 10 or so desktops ive built in last few years? all asus mobos i love the company, and than they kinda get an oh!. but yes the asus is unique thats why i got it. everyone on campus has the dell, hp, toshiba. my z70va looks nothing like any of them

also worst thing about buying an asus is buying on a friday... u have a whole weekend where you know you dont have your laptop and its not doing anything either......

Hehe, I'm the only one that I know that has an ASUS laptop on campus. It's the z71v though, so it looks pretty plain.
