I am a student, have a ton of music and pictures, occasionally use Photoshop, and like to watch movies on my laptop. I'm looking for something light and this is light enough...I'm not willing to pay several extra hundred dollars to lose two pounds. I'm looking for something that will last me a while as I tend to keep my laptops until the wheels fall off (not quite that long, but close, 4 - 5 years).

This seems like the best deal for all of the specs. Any last words on known issues with this particular laptop before I purchase?

Also, I would like to add a SSD to it to make it boot up faster. I have never done this before...any simple steps one might be willing to provide to ensure I don't ruin the laptop I've been researching for weeks?! Thank you.

Lastly!....the only place I can find to purchase this from is Amazon. Is Amazon trustworthy for this?

I dont know of any issues with this laptop, but about the ssd there is really nothing too it. There is usually a panel on the bottom of the laptop that will come off with 1 screw and you can remove the hdd that is already in there and pop in the ssd. Once the ssd is in you will need to reinstall windows. this laptop might have 2 hard drive bays so you might be able to throw the original hdd in the 2nd hdd bay.

Amazon is probably the best place to buy the laptop from.

I'm going to shoot from memory and say that somewhere in the reviews along with installing the SSD, a user mentioned it did have 2, but I'm not sure if that was the N56VZ-DS71 that I was also looking in to. That would be great if I could utilize both! The larger SSDs get pretty pricey so I wasn't exactly excited about spending that large chunk of additional money on top of purchasing the computer...thank you for your reply!
