    Think this would work.

So after looking into all the cooling mods people have done, i got an idea...not sure of a price of something like this, but i doubt it would be that much.

So im trying to find a company some where around Northern or Central VA that does acrylic molding. I would rather find one locally so i could sit down with them and discuss exactally what i want.

I want to get an almost exact replica of the bottom cover, in a clear acrylic...not only cause it would look cool obviously lol, but then i can have it customized for just what the computer needs. I want to have vents drilled over the Hard Disks, ram/cpu/chip set area, the fan, and the VGU. Also, if there is enough room, have the area over the VGU molded with asmuch space as possilbe to fit a small thin fan (i know theres not much room to do that tho).

My only concern was with static, i know acrylic seems to pick up every bit of dust and junk, and inturn, having that static right over components may not be the best thing.

Sounds expensive. Good luck with that. Just make sure you put a layer of EMI shielding on the bottom of the backpanel over critical components.

yea, im hoping it wont cost too much. It prolly wont be worth it if it is over 100 bux honestly lol. by the bottom, do you mean the actual bottom of the computer? that side?

I meant the inside of the backpanel. Sorry about that.

Raw acrylic isn't expensive, but having it custom made into a G51 backpanel replica is. You're better off just buying two spare backpanels from Asus.

Yea, need to mess around with some ideas. Would love to somehow get a fan in there for the VGU

Yes, I think you would see a modest improvement by putting a fan over the GPU and splicing power from the USB hub. However, this would only be effective if the hole is cut over the main turbine; if the hole isn't cut, then the second fan would only create more turbulance inside of the case and mess with CFM direction. Although with your backpanel project, you don't have to worry about it because you plan to cut out the hole anyway.

Don't forget that you need to implement copper for heat to dissipate from.
