If you can wait a bit, you can wait for the refresh of that model, N43SL or even N43SN. However it really depends on the availability of both models. You can also wait for the N45SF, which is supposed to launch sometime around now. However there is no word on the availability at all.

That is actually a great machine for school usage. Like viper, I would say that if you are willing to wait, the newer versions with the Sandy Bridge chipsets might be the best bet. It's hard to tell when they will be readily available though.

I think the question is not "when", but an "if". I've been waiting for this elusive N43SL/SN for about 3 months now. However, the good news is that some Asian vendors are getting the shipment now.

I would just go out and buy the N43JF model, it is an excellent laptop that I can.only recommend. If you were to go for the S models you could be waiting for months by which time it will already.be old tech...

Will this new model be the same price or a lot more because I'm kind of on a $1000 budget.

It will be around the same price point as the N43JF when it entered the market. I think $1000 is pretty much enough.

But again, the problem is not cost, but rather availability :p.

Is there any news as to when this will be available? I need a laptop within the next month and really want one soon.
