Has anyone tried to update the BIOS using WINFLASH? I'm a little scared. I have never done a BIOS update and have read some horror stories of bricked notebooks.. So has anyone tried it yet?

Winflash is generally safe, but there is always the chance that something could go wrong and a BIOS update failure usually means that it's bricked and has to be sent to Asus for reset.

One should apply the general rules of BIOS updates --
    1. Do these only if you are experiencing an issue that is addressed by one of the fixes.
    2. Do them only if you know what you are doing, or are comfortable taking the risks.

Put another way ... if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it :).
