    Hey guys,

I have just a few questions regarding the M50v-A1...

Does the Asus M50Vm-A1 suffer from the Keyboard lag problem? If so, is there any way to correct it.

Are there buttons to increase/decrease/mute the sound that is coming from the speakers as I usually use my headphones to listen to music.

Is this laptop lap friendly or not??? Does it become extremely hot like this: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2005

Also how is the screen's brightness/screen like, as I prefer brighter screens because I wear glasses and I don't want to put too much strain on my eyes. Is there any way to manually change the brightness with the laptop?

Also how is the Asus Limited 2 year warranty? What does it cover? Do you think the 3 year Asus Limited Warranty is worth it?

One more thing on the warranty. If something goes wrong. Does Asus do free pick up and delivery?

PS: I am in the US.
All this compared to the Sony FW, what do guys think about it?

Here's my thread as well: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=274939&page=4

I'll try to answer a couple of these (just ordered my M50Vm-A1, hope it arrives soon).

I've heard that there might still be some keyboard lag issues as similar with everything in the M50 line. There are a few fixes the might work: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=252283

As for delivery, it is free two way overnight shipping.

Hope some other people can cover the other questions for you.

    For the sound:

    Fn+F10 Volume on/mute
    Fn+F11 Volume down
    Fn+F12 Volume up

    There's no dedicated button.

I want to know about the keyboard lag myself.. I'm getting mine today, if the UPS guy would hurry up. I'm worried it won't happen or be an issue.

As with all laptops you can change the brightness. Will give input later when I receive it myself.

Those are some pictures I took of the screen, comparing it to a 300 cd/m2 screen. The horizontal viewing angles are great, and the vertical are okay.
To manually change brightness, hit fn+a to turn off ambient light sensor, then fn+f5/fn+f6 to adjust brightness.

The missing keystroke lag still exists, but the solutions to this problem fix it pretty much. Check this thread for help: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=252283

The only place where the laptop gets warm is directly in front of the exhaust fan.

If you plus headphones into the computer, the speakers should automatically shut off. The is the media touch pad volume scroll, and fn+f10/fn+f11/fn+f12 to adjust it as needed.
