Hello! I'm looking for a laptop cooler for my upcoming Asus G1S and I ran across one that seems good for me but the thing is Im not sure if the fans on the laptop cooler are in the right place to cool down the G1S correctly?

This would need the fans of the G1S to be under the laptop to be good, right? I dont really know... So thats why I ask haha do you guys think it'll work for the G1S?

And also, I am sure I will buy a notebook cooler but for the G1S is it really really needed?

this cooler is the targus right?
Cause this targus is NOT SUITABLE for the g1s, for the following reason:
The G1s intake the air at the bottom, and push the hot air at the back.
What you need to cool de g1s is some fan at the bottom that PUSH the air.

The targus take the air from the bottom of the lappy. It's not good for the g1s, and can be dangerous(overheating.)
THe zalman push the air to the laptop, so it's a good cooler.
Other than that, avopid the pacific breeze since it push the air at the back of the lappy....worthless...

You can find it at a number of places, Newegg, ZipZoomFly (Although I think they stopped shipping to Canada), maybe Tiger Direct? Amazon, CompUSA, etc.

    I disagree.

The pacific breeze does not push air 'at the back' of the laptop - it pushes air to the bottom of the laptop. Unlike laptop coolers where you rest the laptop on it, the pacific breeze is at the back of the laptop tilting it at an angle to push air to the bottom. I have one and it works quite well.

Another option to consider is the Lian Li notebook cooler...they have a 15" and a 17" widescreen...and they too blow the air at the bottom of the notebook...Heard nothing but good from them...and they tend to be 10 bucks cheaper then the zalman.

Hum... Finally I went at Staples and the new model of the Targus one I first posted about is Pushing the air, not pulling it. And it fits the 15'4 notebooks so I guess theres nothing wrong with it?
