I was trolling my event viewer and found this Windows Sidebyside error under windows logs > APPLICATIONS

Activation context generation failed for "D:\Program Files\P4G\MFC80U.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50608.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

it seems it had done this since i installed it.

The fix is, to install the 2005 C++ redistribute from microsoft's support website. (appropriate version for your windows, x64 or x86). It MUST be the 2005. I tried the 2010, thinking it would have the older file as well, it did not.

There is 2010, 2008 sp1, 2008, 2005... what you install is up to you, it's a library of files used for programs written in C++, it's kinda like an API, IE .net framework, directx...

Every of those C runtimes are installed :p a lot of utilities and games depend on them and they install it automatically, and they got x86 and x64 installed too.
Most games/apps that depend on them fail to start and show a popup window, looks like p4g only needed them for some small parts.
