The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I wasn't able to find anything through the search function so I'm posting here.

    I'm in the market for a low cost but durable/reliable notebook that can last 3+ years with daily use (going to use it as my main work computer entering grad school). It will be used strictly for basic tasks for school - internet browsing, Microsoft Office, and perhaps Photoshop every now and then. No gaming, movie-editing, etc. (I have another computer for that). It's gotten really good user reviews - Asus - 14" Laptop - 4GB Memory - 320GB Hard Drive - Brown - X44H-BBR7

    Do you guys think this is a good fit? I have never had an Asus notebook before....
