I bought the G1 and am very happy with it, but i have a few things that I want to know if anyone else has seen. The first thing is the spring in the keyboard on the leftside. Right around the 4/5 key its has a very large spring up and down. That is really the only hardware problem i have.

Software wise there are quite a few problems. The sound audio device will randomly not been seen by the computer. Looking in the manager shows that everything is ok. All i have to do is reboot to fix it. The mini display will sumtimes sit an ASUS after startup and also needs a restart. If i shut the lid it will sumtimes suspend. Other times it says it does not have enough recources, and other it will suspend and then randomly come back out of it.

This is not to say i dislike this laptop. I LOVE it, it just disappoints me when there are problems with a brand new computer.

Check if the top tabs are loose or the bottom if the Keyboard screws are loose.

As for the software, perhaps a fresh recovery may help, as we all know Windows, it gets corrupt easily, even in the installing process. Other options is to reinstall all the drivers.

I'm not sure what you mean by Windows getting "corrupt easily, even in the installing process," but I always recommend a fresh format and reinstall with any new computer.

The Windows installations that come with these things are always loaded with junk. If, after you format, install Windows, and install the latest drivers supplied by the manufacturer, these issues persist, then these really are software problems.
