I will speak on behalf of my wife. I got her a w5a. It has an 80gb 5400 hitachi drive though. She was VERY specific on what she wanted in a notebook, and it had to be 12". The only laptop that fit the requirements, and I truly believe it is the best 12" notebook on the market today. She absolutely LOVES it as well!!

Yes they are very unique laptops, they remind me of Apple, they understand how to be practical when making products and they include very nice extras. My Asus W3V looks all future-like aswell.

I still am. I was just the founder. Now i have to answer to other people but like any president i have the power of a veto. Ye i do all my gaming on desktop tho lately on my xbox 360 and xbox before that. i steered away from pc gaming when i got my m5n and my hidef 42" plasma. Once you see cod2 on the xbox360 with a 42" plasma on the other end there is no going back to pc games. Pc gaming got demolished now with xbox 360 out. Give it a year or so once new games strart comming out that are too much for even the custom ati 500mhz core in the xbox you will see the pc market back better then ever. Everyone I know that likes pc games got the 360 and hasnt touched their pc since. BTW the wireless controller on the 360 are fantasmic. I just dunno how sony is going to compete with microsoft. MS got the multiplayer community locked down and they came out with the 360 a whole year before ps3. From what i hear the ps3 will not be any improvement in terms of graphics even a year later. :)

PS3 will be better than the Xbox 360... just like the Xbox was better than the PS2 - simply because it came out after

I had a Z70va and loved it. I eBayed it and my older desktop for the Sager 5720 in my sig. In the spring, I'm going to pick up a Z63a for general internet/e-mail, writing, and travel when my Sager isn't required.

PS3 comin out a whole year later but has a weaker video card. How is that better? Yes it has blueray. Big deal by the time blue ray even gets its name out will be like 2010. Well i am just a ps hater. All my friends hating on the xbox and i am the only one who got it. Micorosoft if the bomb diggity right now thats what counts. What is this thread all about anyways. Cant we keep it relative?

Currently I own a ASUS A6Va-Q016H (modified from original config), and I love it! It may not be a flashy notebook like a Acer, but it's much more solid, besides, I like notebooks who are really simple from design.

I opted against a Poll simply because there's too many Asus models out there. Keep in mind that not all Asus users are using this year's models either, but some using models from previous years..which would make the list even longer.

Has now joined the ranks of Asus EOL, but still it's a good little machine (although the 62 series and Aj8m aren't bad alternatives, I guess....) - Z63A.
