How is this laptop doing? i am strongly thinking of getting the f8sv-b1. i need it for solidworks, photoshop, music, and some games. i was looking at the m1330 but i do not think that it compares. what do you think?

if you have used photoshop and such how are they? do they load fast? no lag?
what do you like/dislike now that you have had some time to break them in?

how portable is it? i need something that i can carry in my bag while riding my bike.
how does it compare to the g1s b1?
    thanks

The F8SV would be more powerful than the M1330 based on processor and graphics capability alone.

do a little more research into the ASUS and you will find that most ASUS's have flaws, now I'm not saying there are other laptops that don't have flaws but the ASUS usually have bad battery life and I've heard some series have bad screens (not as bad as the dell 1520 but ;)). depends what you need.

I think that's overgeneralizing a bit. Indeed most current ASUS laptops have bad sub-competition battery life. But the screens, I don't think they are worse than the competition in general.

ya batt life kinda sucks on these. 2 hrs. but it is also very powerful and only weights 5.7 lbs. and seems to kill all other laptops in its range. my current vaio, granted its old. but its bat only lasts 30mins. and weights 10lbs.
please show me a laptop that weights less then 6lbs and is better then this one. i am looking at the alienware m15x but i think its weight will be close to 10lbs.

2 hours is a long time when you think about. And you have to ask yourself will I really be using this laptop for more then 2 hours unplugged? If you want more then 2 hours of life you are probably going to have to go with integrated graphics if battery life is that important to you.

I thought it was common knowledge with any laptop that you should always have the power cord with you.
