So, I think I have the graininess issue in my Z96j. It is really minimal, but it actually bothers me when reading small fonts.
First, I wonder if this is actually the graininess: on white screen, it appears like some texture (kind of marble texture, white with grey grains), so that texture blurs a bit the small fonts.
Second, and related with above, I wonder how worthy is to upgrade, with a Bios originally made for S96j. Some people suggest to wait for the Z96j version (I know, they are almost the same PC, but never know...)
If the suggestions are positive, can you please tell me where to find the info to do it?
Thanks a lot for your time guys.

The general rule of flashing your BIOS is that if there is a problem, and a BIOS that fixes it, flash it. If it isn't necessary/noticeably beneficial, don't flash.

Who said it was an S96J fix??? The update didn't have anything to do with Intel, I spoke to the guy at ASUS who requeted it based on feedback from the resellers who replied because of feedback from this board and I recieved it along with the resellers through e-mail from ASUS Tech Support.
To the best of my knowledge it is still marked as beta, but it is fine and works great. I upgraded mine last month no issue.
It's up to you whether or not you upgrade. I never upped my old G732 but I could have - but this was annoying enough that I did. If it bugs you, then upgrade

The credit for the S96J/Z96J and other Asus laptop grainyness fix goes to Ken at GentechPC, he's the one that really pushed for BIOS updates.
Anyways, i've flashed my BIOS twice via CD's and I have had no problems.
But from now on, im just gong to use Asus Winflash Utility.
To flash or not to flash...
