    http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-F55-Q504-15-4-Inch-Processor-Premium/dp/B001GAQF48/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_3

    or

    http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Notebook...ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=pc&qid=1224173638&sr=1-1

Which one would be the better choice for Internet browsing and gaming.

Games: Warhammer online, cod4, fallout 3, crysis, diablo 3 eventually :D

I know that the main advantage in the g50 is the better proccessor and the ability to set up RAID or whatever lol

In the Toshiba F50 the advantage is the cheaper price and the better gpu the nvidia 9700 gts.

so whats the deal with the prices? is the 2.26 and the 2.53 really a difference?

Just so you know, the Toshiba is thicker/heavier than the G50 and the keyboard and palmrest areas are very glossy. You can't touch that thing without leaving behind your fingerprints. If there's a Best Buy near you, see if they have the F55 on display.

Also, another vote for the 9700M GTS being better than the 9700M GT.

Why not wait for the Asus G50Vt-A1? It comes with a 9800M GS.

The G50VT-X1 has a better CPU (P8400), a better HDD (7,200rpm 320gb), a better GPU (9800M GS); while the F55-Q504 has a higher resolution screen (1440x900), PC2-6400 RAM (the G50VT-X1 has PC2-5300 RAM), bluetooth (the BestBuy G50VT-X1 doesn't have bluetooth), a subwoofer, and tactile media buttons.

Yeah, wait for the G50VT-A1 with the 9800 card...not long for resellers to have in stock (assuming you can get by that lid :D )

Make sure you type on the Toshiba before buying it - if a good keyboard is important to you. I say this because the X305 keyboard is brutal and the F50/55 is in the same family of products.

Overall you will be happy with either but the Asus has the edge.
