    Hello,

I have had an ASUS N53S for a few months now, and I like it a lot. However, it has a quirk that annoys me at times.

Quite often--maybe 1 out of 10 times or so--the touchpad doesn't register my tap. I know it's not because I didn't tap hard enough because . . . 1) the touchpad is quite sensitive, and 2) my taps are solid and fairly consistent in weight.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Any possible causes or solutions?

I just started having the same thing. I removed the elan driver and now right click has started to work but tapping and left click is still not working. I know it is not a faulty touch-pad because if it was, at least i should have been able to either tap or left click. if someone has a solution to this, a help would be much appreciated here. btw i have an asus k53e core i32310 /4 gb ddr3/ intel hd 3000. i have installed an intel 6230 wifi adapter to it.
