I have ran AVG, AVAST, NOD32 Antivirus and Smitfraudfix to see if I have picked up any viruses and they havent caught one. However, I am still having a problem with my display going crazy on load up; Splendid resizing itself about 3 times which turns my recycle bin murky white when it should be clear. When I go to Splendid it makes me change it to 32 bit?? this just started recently.
I have ran the listed virus scans above and havent found anything. Any help would be appreciated...
    Thanks
Now my time has chagne to military on its own...

Maybe it's just a bug with ASUS Splendid? In such a case there are two solutions:
    a) reinstall, and if that doesn't work
    b) remove

It may also be a GPU driver problem, which may warrant a driver reinstall or upgrade.

When you say it makes you change to 32bit, do you mean you are in 16bit by default? I agree with E.B.E, reinstall or remove. I have not uninstalled Splendid yet on my G2S, but to be truthful, I do not use it. I use either the built-in program color changes or the nvidia control panel.

Yes for some odd reason the past few days I have been set in 16bit by default every time I boot up the notebook; it all started when I went wireless here at home. Im at the edge of wiping the hd and starting as if it just came out of the box...
going to try to uninstall and reinstall Splendid first

That is very odd. Check your startup, I do so through CCleaner, and see if you notice any new programs there. Could be you have a program that is set to this.

Thanks for this new handy tool I will add to my collection

ATKOSD2 displays the onscreen animation of the Fn+hotkey controls (like volume up etc.) It's not necessary but you lose those graphics.

    Don't know what ehtray is.

Don't disable things indiscriminately / if you don't know what they do. You run the risk of losing functionality.

Im very cautious when deleting stuff out of the registry, if Im not sure what it is I either look on what is it? forums or overclockers.com and if I get mixed reviews I will just let it run. The Atoks was one were I got a delete and a dont delete.
So its just a function for media hotkeys?
Thanks for your help you two; it seems to be running fine now. I just uninstalled the Splendid program.

ATKOSD2 is just the GUI for the media hotkeys. Their functionality is preserved if you remove it, but the graphics won't be displayed. At least AFAIK. I have never uninstalled it myself. :)

For registry cleaning, (maybe not really related to your current problems) I recommend jv16powertools. In my experience, when they say it is safe to remove -- then it is truly safe to remove. XP only. Can find a free version (see my XP guide).
