My Laptop Is Asus N53SV.A few Days ago My laptop didn't Turn On. I give it to the Repairman.

Now When I open the door of Laptop, it Turn on automatically without press Power key.

The repairman said this is because I Update bios diver and this is new features that Asus add to this system. I want to know this is Right???

If it's truly shut down as in Start menu - shut down, it should not turn on unless you press the power button. If it's in hibernate or sleep mode then sure, it can wake when you open the laptop.

Now you said this is not true?

Hardly unlikely. Why would anyone want a machine that's shut down completely to come on with the lid open? There are some Intel features like rapid start and other nonsense that maybe it's not truly shut down, and when the lid opens it activates Windows turning on. Is it at the windows screen when you open, or booting up?

Go into the BIOS and see if there's some Intel features like rapid start.

Yes it can only be sleeping or hibernating to do that :)

I dunno though. If you go to Start Menu - Shut down (or charms menu - shut down) with rapid start on, I've hit the power button and it's instant on, like it just goes into sleep mode.

That's more turning power off into sleep/hibernate.

Sounds like rapid start. Can you get into BIOS and disable rapid start from there?
