I've plugged in my headphones, and I can still hear the sound from my speakers in my keyboard. I've tried everything I can think of to try turning it off, but I can't figure this out. I'm not too much of a computer wiz :p
    Oh, I have G50V-A1.
    Thank you ahead of time.

Is there sound coming out of both your speakers and headphones at the same time?

That's weird. Have you tried another pair of headphones? Are they maybe not connecting all the way?

You could try going to the realtek control panel (rtsndmgr.cpl) and under audio i/o switching around from speaker to headphone, or maybe even digital and back to try and reset things.

Also r u sure it's in the right port.. lol... it's the farthest from the front right next to the usb :p

I've tried the realtek control panel. Didn't work as desired. I'm going to try another set of headphones.

It's happened since I got the laptop a few days ago.
Tried with another pair of headphones, and it still doesn't work.

I would think that maybe you did not push the headphone jack in all the way to trigger the toggle.

I think you should be able to go into your audio control panel and manually turn down the speakers or choose your output source tho.
