I am going to be purchasing my first laptop for school/gaming on the side and i was wondering if people would recommend some different tricks or settings i can use to tweak performance when i want to game and then maximize battery life when im in class taking notes, any comments are helpful.

Also what are things I'm going to need to do right away with a brand new laptop, such as software upgrades and what not, and where to get them

    thank you!

Tweak XP is a program that should give that little bit more from your laptop.
