I'm considering buying ASUS U30JC-B1 - XOTIC PC - ASUS Notebook
Just have 3 questions before I go buy it.

Is the battery life actually as good as advertised (8 hours)?

    Will it overheat?

And is this laptop worth the price?

Battery life is never as advertised. Expect 5-6 hours of actual battery life when you're web-surfing and doing some light word processing with the screen brightness set at low.

As long as you maintain your laptop, overheating shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you clean the fan and vents regularly to prevent dust/debris build-up.

Alright thanks, and I've heard that ASUS' build quality sometimes isnt the best, specifically the hinges. I figure since this is the ASUS board people would know if their prone to breaking.
