    Hey all,

I'm sure i've read in a few places on the forum that a couple of people are having issues updating to the newest nvida drivers for the 310M. I can install the drivers fine, then I reboot and make it to the windows log on page. Once I log on it starts to do it's stuff and then just freezes. Nothing. I'd like to hear some feedback from anybody else with a 310M that has tried these drivers?

It's also been pointed out to me that the pci bus on my card is only running at 8x instead of 16x... will a driver update fix this? Seems strange Asus would ship it like this from the factory.

259.22 is the latest Optimus capable driver. You will most likely need a modified INF in order for it to work though. I half wonder if the INFs are just not configured right for your notebook.

I have the same exact problem with my U45JC. First two times I booted up my screen froze and then my speakers started blurting. Third time turned black so I had no choice but to uninstall in safe mode and reinstall the 189 driver.

Same problem on UL30JT. I have already tried everything including reinstalling every graphic diver. I found somewhere(i think it was on official asus forum) that someone had that issue an he used VGA patch to remove all drivers and then he sucessfuly instaled those latest Nvidia drivers on his U30JC but i'm not sure if i want to try this method. Also i found that this issues happened to only some UL30JT users whereas others installed the driver without any problem.
