Just received my new Asus U36SD from Amazon yesterday.

On page 9-10 of the user manual it states that the U36SD touch pad will do "two finger scrolling". Mine does not work. I looked at the Synaptics Touchpad configuration and I do not see anyplace to enable it.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I have the latest driver.

    Zoom and pinch work.

I have scroll item under pointer enabled.
I have one finger horz and vert enabled; but I don't see any configuration for two finger scrolling.

download the latest driver from synaptics. Uninstall the asus one. The option for two-finger scrolling should be available now. The touchpad on this laptop is still pretty bad imo

Yes it is in the new driver, but it is awful. You use pixie dust to get it to work at all. I finally turned it off and used the google code version. two-finger-scroll - Two finger gestures for Synaptics TouchPads on Windows - Google Project Hosting which works better.

I am confused on how synaptic could have such a flawed driver...I must be doing something wrong.

It is amazing that the Apple windows driver for the Macbook Touchpad works great under Win7. But a company like synaptic can't get their own hardware to work.

hi everyone, i just received my u36sd today! i was pretty excited but i'm having issues with the touchpad. i find that it sometimes isn't responsive and is a pain to use without a mouse. multi-finger scrolling are even worse.

I have already tried reinstalling the lastest driver for it.. it got better but i'm still wondering if it is a defect on my particular unit?

What do my fellow U36 users think about this?
