Bout time! Took them long enough. Hopefully this first batch isn't peone to defects like a lot of other u38ns have.

There goes good old Asus again: tantalizing us with a market-busting offering and taking away most of the appeal with quality problems. Asus still carries respect for their gaming rigs and some excellent components, eg, motherboards, but is fast developing a loser rep for quality problems - exacerbated in some markets with terrible customer support.

I'm rooting for them to get this remedied, but once a rep like this is earned, it is very hard to shake it off.

Wait, they actually released it here? Now? Wow... it's almost insulting.

Seems a little pricey for the A8 version too, as it has some major throttling issues from what I hear.

FYI, they STILL don't have the A10/128gb version for sale anywhere I've seen, and with superior laptops like this hovering around $999, haswell's imminent release, and Kaveri/kabini on the horizon, the U38N is basically obsolete.

EDIT: Sorry, I think I'm just frustrated with Asus right now. My Asus motherboard has been misbehaving, and I was pretty pissed when they delayed the U38N like... a year ago.
