i bought a U80V, just yesterday. First thing i did when i got home was try to run windows update. It detected about 500-600megs worth of updates (not including service pack 2) and I decided to install all of them.

It would install a few and then goto BSOD and reset by itself. It did this everytime until I decided to install each update 5 at a time.

When I got to ""System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista KB947821", it started installing...and it just kept installing....its still installing the same update and its been almsot 1 hr. This isnt even SP2, its just a regular update.

    What should I do?

My U80V came with Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1.

Sorry haven't had vista in quite some time. Did i install yet? Usually, not always, it is ok to just use reboot to get out of the upgrade. Wrst case then you can revert with system restore.........

try restoring the system and doing the updates again. this time, lower the updates to be installed at one time. IF you have a copy of Win 7, go head and install it.
