Which UL models don't have the Atheros wi-fi chip? If there are some low-priced models that have the Intel 5100, that will be exactly what I want.

I have an UL30A-QX159V with Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN. It's not the 5100, but it's ok.

There is a known problem where some of their cards don't get a consistently strong signal. There is a huge thread about it on here. That's why I want to avoid it if possible.

Just to add my thoughts, I have the atheros wifi card and have not had any issues with it. Wifi signals are strong and I've never had any dropped connections. I believe some have mentioned that an update of the BIOS would solve the wifi issue.
