    DDR2? It's not DDR3 like the UL30A?

Apparently so....I'm thinking....I really wanted that physical form factor....the UL30A is only 40 samolians or so more when you add everything up....don't know...what I want is a netbook for someone with trifocals...(me) :) Still a pretty nice machine.

Check out the Acer 1410 with the SU2300 (they're labelling it as Celeron but it's Dual Core). Yes it's downspeced from the UL20A, but has HDMI (and only a 160GB HD). MSRP is $399.

UL20A is going to have a very tough time with only 2GB RAM while Acer has the 1410 @399 and the 1810 (4GB RAM, HDMI, Bluetooth) at $599.

Well, about 150g which seems less than I would expect. And it's ~3cm less in width and ~2.5cm in depth but about 0.5-1.0 cm thicker. I've been holding off on the UL30 until I saw specs for the UL20 but while the smaller size is nice (for use in lecture seats, on lap etc) it's not worth the trade-off to me. Thinner, HDMI, double the memory and disk space and probably longer battery life are worth the $200-ish premium to me.
