In case anyone is curious, I've installed both World of Warcraft and Starcraft II on my UL50AG and I have to say... I'm greatly disappointed.

In World of Warcraft, I get around 6-10fps in Dalaran at a time where there are few people on. Outside cities, I get around 12-18fps with all graphics set down to the bare minimum. It is still playable though, better if you solo.

For Starcraft II, the opening cinematics probably ran at 2-4fps and the audio skipped in between frames. It doesn't seem to be watchable. The game runs well with the bare minimum settings. With that said, with everything turned off, the graphics are terrible. The game is playable at the single player settings, and I believe would be too slow for multiplayer, especially when the system has to render all the units on screen.

I guessed I won't be playing too much; this should help me to concentrate more on my studies ;-)

    Cheers,
    Gnimble

This is unsurprising as the UL50AG does not have a dedicated video card. But I agree that no gaming is a good thing if you're worried about your studies :p
