My battery died ages ago but it still works on power cable. It still powers up. But just black screen of ...?

I dont have a FN F8 key anymore. How do you fix these Asus keys 3 parts, cripes its fiddly, I was going to swap the insert key.

Anyway I connect it to the TV via USB and still, dead, nothing, so I press the FN F8 key with its key which doesnt stay on, still nothing :-(

Is there anyway I can get this to display on the tv so I can diagnose, its my only monitor, has HDMI and a VGA port. So does the notebook.

I need to get this done quick, as we down to no computer. Sorry to sound desperate, but appreciate any help !

    Thanks

    OH NO

No VGA. All HDMI and Ethernet.

    Any options I can try?
