I am getting pretty frustrated, and I don't even know if it is because I am blind or ASUS is not being helpful
First off the manual that shipped with my laptop shows that there is a switch underneath the SD card reader to switch graphics from integrated Intel graphics to the Nvidia G210M. Well, my notebook does not have that switch- so how do I switch from one to the other? The pdf manual included on the computer does not even talk about it.
Seemingly at random the display cuts out and goes black for 2-3 seconds. It has happened about 7 times in the 2-3 hours I have been using it.
What the hell are all these undocumented Asus utilities? I already uninstalled the Asus Webstorage and Data Security programs, but what are Lifeframe3, SmartLogon, VirtualCamera, Fancystart, AP Bank, AI Recovery, Live Update, and Mult?
How can I set up Windows 7 to at least look like XP so I can find stuff? Why after I do something in Control Panel (remove a program) does it shut down Control Panel? I want it left open!
Thanks.

To switch graphics, it's quite simple. On the top left there's a button that looks like the power key. You press that when you're using your computer. It'll give you three options, integrated, discrete, and then automatic. Auto is based on what power the laptop is using. So if you're plugged in, it'll use discrete, if you're running off of battery power, it will go with the integrated.
I don't have a lot of time to post everything, but here's some quickies. Lifeframe3 is the program to use the webcam. If you want to use it to create videos or photos, lifeframe3 is it. Fancystart is a program to create your own boot-up screen. So when your computer boots from a cold start, you can have your own graphics and so forth in the background instead of say having a standard Asus background. AI Recovery is basically what the name says it is. It's the program to recover and/or reformat your laptop back to factory. If you meant AI Recovery burner, it's the program you use to create DVDs use to recover your laptop, basically backup discs.
In terms of making Windows 7 look like XP, right click the taskbar, choose properties. Where it says taskbar buttons, choose "never combine." Then it'll be reminiscent of Windows XP. Also if you really want to go further, you can switch to the Windows Classic theme, which will also help lessen the divide between 7 and XP.
Personally, I like Windows 7's looks. It's fresh, it's new, and just different. XP to me was getting stale. I do know a lot of people love it though, and that's understandable as well.
