This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     USB ports not recognizing devices

    The only USB device my G50 is recognizing and powering is my cheap mouse. I had a G5 gaming mouse and it would periodically cut out on me. When I try to use my USB harddrive or iPod, it will act like it's accessing them, but they never become available. I'm not sure that they are getting power, so I bought a powered USB hub to see if that would help, but it still won't pickup the devices.

    Anyone have any thoughts? I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.
