    Good day,

I am having an awful lot of issues with this laptop, but the most annoying one of all of them is that I can not get audio through the HDMI out. Basically, every time I plug it in, the video goes through quite nicely (even though it messes up my DPI-scaling settings), but I can't set HDMI to default (in audio settings), since it says it's unplugged, falsely. I seem to think that this is a driver-related issue as I have reinstalled W8 to the MSata SSD, and even though I installed the drivers correctly, some things just don't work as they should. The device manager says that the HDMI audio out is managed by a default Windows driver, which I think is not too good since I have dedicated Nvidia GPU and the HDMI out is probably integrated on the dedicated card (correct me if I'm wrong).

Any suggestions welcome, thank you in advance...

You may need to have the HDMI plugged in before you turn the computer on. Plug it in and reboot to see if it then lets you select it.
