Having a problem and wondering what the BIOS settings are all at for working UX303LN users. I reset everything to defaults but some things seem different (sleep on lid for example).

I upgraded to a clean installed copy of Win10 Professional to encrypt the system. Shortly thereafter I realized that sometimes when the computer sleeps or I shut down or restart, it doesn't always fully shut down. The screen will turn off and the hard drive light at the top right of the keyboard will turn off, but the light on the power button will stay on and the fans may stay on. The computer stays warm in this state and will drain the battery to zero unless I hold the power button for 10 seconds to really turn it off. Windows seems to make no mention of a bad shutdown.

I can't figure out why this hang up only happens sometimes (maybe 1/10th of the time). I tried reinstalling Win 10 with a fresh download and still have the same issue. Disabling fastboot in windows and the bios has had no effect.

I had the same. Just try to disable Intel Management Engine Interface in Device Manager -> System devices.
It doesn't affect anything, it is a service for remote management in enterprise environments.
Hope it will help to you.
