    Hello guys :)

Im the proud owner of a UX31, that currently has a 209 firmware installed - I was wondering if there are any big benefits from updating it to 210 (which I think is the newest one from what I could Google)?

    Kind regards

The biggest benefit is to introduce you to asus' rma process, since that's the game of russian roulette you play when you update bioses with asus.

    Sarcasm yes, but true...

op - If you are not having any issues do not do it. If an update addresses an issue go for it.
darkfinger is spot on! and if you want to do it read the guidance found here and ask if you have any doubts.

Not sure if I have the wrong end of the stick.

But would one not use the utility provided by Asus, winflash, that runs from NTFS.

Why use a third party app and a more complex procedure.

When I first ran asus live update it updated the bios and went well.

^^^ Decworld, some have had issues with winflash. If you flash with easy flash (from BIOS and using a FAT32 USB drive) there seems to have been way less issues reported here. You do not load windows to do the flash in this case.

    I see.

I guess asus should fix for free if you use their procedure.

I did note that my first zenbook ran liveupdate an updated the bios, but my new one bough two months later with the same bios did not. SO maybe asus decided not to do this automatically anymore.
