My daughter's Zenbook UX31A finally died (originally mine and lasted us for 10 years so can't complain).
Won't start up at all. So replacement ordered and almost here.
But she tells me she had school work saved to the SSD. I have taken it out, but how do I read it? I have as BlackX Thermalake dock which I have used to read all sorts of harddrives (but not SSDs). I've read somewhere that these Asus ones had properietary 18 pin SSD?
What's the cheapest and easiest way to read the data off the HDD – I doin't care about the SSD itself just recovering her data off it (and onto new laptop).
Will one of these allow me to plug in the SSD from the UZ31A, and then plug that into a BlackX dock (using SATA) to recover the data?
