Does anyone think it's a good idea to get an ultrabook with touch now in case it's more utilized in the future? I'm trying to decide between these two ultrabooks and it really comes down to more minimal/touch vs. upgradability. Thoughts?

I've also seen a lot of posts regarding problems with the 32VDs. Can anyone confirm there are production problems with fans, etc?

I had a UX31A Touch for a week and returned it for an UX32VD. My reasons were the reflective screen that was a fingerprint magnet, only 65GB available storage (out of 128) and only 4GB of RAM.

The UX32VD fit my needs better and is upgradable and repairable.

Personally I promote scalability over the touch feature. It's a neat implementation, but it will not completely revolutionize your experience or it's practical purpose/application.

A word on eBay: do some research on your seller before you buy. That seller appears to have good feedback, and you can benchmark their dependability and service by contacting them to ask a few questions (even if they're questions you already know the answer to).
