Hi,
I have a UX31A connected to a Dell 1901FP (resolution 1280 x 1024). At first the icons and text on the external monitor looked really large so I adjusted the size of icons to smaller (100%) whereas it was originally 125%. This made the external monitor look good but then the icons on the laptop monitor were too small. I adjusted the resolution on the laptop monitor from the default 1920 x 1080 to 1600 x 900 to make the icons and text larger, but the text on the laptop monitor still doesn't look as good as with the default resolution (it is thicker).
Does anyone know how to fix this? Can I set the icons and text on the monitor to be 125% and on my external monitor 100% somehow? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try manually adjusting the DPI if you haven't already, instead of going with the 100% or 125% presets. All you have to do is open your resolution settings, then "make text and other items larger or smaller", and in the left column, select "Set custom text size (DPI)".
Hopefully you can find a middle ground that works for both monitors with that. -
Thanks for your reply. Do you have any ideas on this other question? http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...ess-network-after-lid-closed.html#post9218143

Maybe look for a program that can manage different DPI scales on different displays. Worth a look, I have not but it might be out there.
