    Hello,

When I set the power to anything defined e.g. 'power saver' after restart the option appears deselected (both radio buttons are off)

Also, is there a way to have the usual three radio buttons: 'power saver', 'balanced' and 'high power'? Currently i only have 2.

    ux31la / 8.1

Thanks in advance for your time

Do you have Power4Gear installed? That may be overriding the Windows power plan. Most users remove it.

If you want an additional power plan, you can create one in the Power options by clicking on "Create a plan."

it is strange i received no mail notifying about your reply.

Right! this is the correct answer.

Asus said that the issue would be due to some 3rd party programs which corrupted the power plans. They were almost correct: Their own program did it with no other assistance

    Thanks again
