    UX31a-Touch Issue

    Seems either damaged/dead pixels are already occurring near the top of the screen (as shown in the images - above the address bar). Not sure how this occurred, only used the computer at school and cleaned (religiously) using Zeiss microscopy gel (what I used for the microscope).

    I contacted Asus and put in a service request, just haven't had anytime to turn in it, as I'm writing my dissertation at the moment.

    Any ideas what to do?

    Those don't look like dead pixels, but it does appear that something is wrong with the LCD. There are troubleshooting tips for dead pixels that you can try, still, such as gently messaging the area or applying a gentle amount of heat. Asus will probably need to inspect it for you though.
