Upon originally receiving my UX32VD, I formatted and installed everything to the SSD, leaving the HDD as a media storage device.

Initially, I tested the laptops battery life for a few days. Light wifi usage, screen all the way down, keyboard to 1 or completely off. I would get anywhere between 5 to 5.5 hours of battery life. I checked battery wear upon receiving the laptop and it was 1.3%.

Since school had not started, I stopped testing total battery life and kept the battery within 85-100% at all times when using it.

I did another couple of test runs and now can only get 4 to 4 hours and 15 minutes of battery life while using the same criteria as my previous test.
Not only this, my battery wear is up to 5.3%!

Is anyone else experiencing terrible battery life, and wear?
Am I doing something wrong here?
If the battery wear gets too bad, is it covered under the 2 year warranty I received with it?

I used HWmonitor to check the wear of my battery, but i t change at every boot. My wear in less than a month is between 3% and 4%.

My battery wear dropped. But this should be normal for the first cycles of a LiPo battery. I now have 2 total charge / discharge cycles and HWinfo shows me 0.4% wear. I use the stock components but with installed Windows on the iSSD. This setting runs fast and battery life became longer after installing this.

How is possible too much difference between our batteries? Do you usally play with this pc? I read that high temperature can cause battery wear.

been using it for a month, zero wear so far

use it mostly for light browsing, some gaming but it so low spec that even HD4000 can handle it perfectly

its mostly plugged in, but sometimes i may carry it around the house and i usually drain about 10-20% (the most is 50%) before plugging in again

I have had the ux32vd for about a week and have 6% wear level and max charge at about 43wh. Used it at high temps a few times encoding video and playing a few games. All good as long as it doesn't plummet from here on in :)
