Hi, I just got back my Asus from warranty because iSSD stopped working. In the warranty repair they replaced the motherboard and also ran the diagnostics on new motherboard. So, everything should work fine, BUT
Intel Rapid Storage is telling me that my iSSD is not working properly
Disk Management shows the disk as "Unallocated" - is it supposed to be like this?
Task Manager shows that there is 0% activity on the disk.
Now it get's funny - the laptop starts up superfast and also the programs start faster than on my old computer (same hardware, bought the new one because of the size and improved screen).
So, is it really working or is something really weird going on? I tried to search from the internet but couldn't find any answers.
If it's not working, is there something I could do by myself? I really don't want to wait another 4 weeks again, since this laptop is quite necessary in my everyday life.

Well if your system is accelerated then I guess it is, it can't be anything else.
That warning is for a smart error, so without knowing what that event is it's impossible to say what is/has happened. -
I'm not sure if it's accelerated.
The thing that's worrying me is that the disk is "unallocated". Shouldn't the status be something else? Maybe a system disk or something? As far as I know the unallocated disks don't do anything or do they?
I'm quite new in that kind of problem, so it's confusing.
But how can I find out what's the smart error? -
The SSD is caching your HDD by ExpressCache program not Intel Rapid Storage, Intel SRT required RAID controller which your UX32VD does not have. It's suppose to be unallocated so it's normal.
The SMART error could be SSD is reporting wrong attribute data or is really at risk.
You can try download Seagate Seatools for more accurate result of your SSD status:

Yes, only the 77 series chipset supports it, but asus tend to disable the feature anyway.

Yes, Asus has disabled the SMART.
Yesterday I also tried to push the computer to it's "limits" by performing tasks that usually take a lot of time on my old computer (droplet working on PS and at the same time opening many programs and navigating between them). It was quite a lot faster and smooth also.
So it looks like I paniced for no reason...hopefully.
UX32VD iSSD shows but is it really working?
