I opened Device Manager and Disk Management to check the size of my SSD partition and it wasn't there, although the expresscache.exe service is running.
Having just gotten my computer back after five weeks for a simple screen replacement, giving it back to ASUS for a check is not something I really want to do.

Can anyone help me out here?

Answering my own question after reading through other threads here, it seems likely that my iSSD is dead, which will mean a mother board replacement. Will be taking it into the shop tomorrow and I'll get back to you folks if it turns out to be something else.

If you want to save yourself a lot of trouble & time, roll back the bios. I guess you updated the bios to 2.11 or 2.12, which in my case, caused the iSSD to disappear from the bios.
I rolled back the bios to 2.03 and it worked perfectly. It seems like the new bios versions cause a lot of trouble...

Too late. It's already back in the shop, but I'll give them a call.
    Thanks!

Now the question is, is the BIOS upgrade having the same effect for everyone?

The few entrys about this case I found, are usually referring to previously updated bios versions 2.12 & 2.11.

I should also mention that I updated my bios several days ago, so it took some time until the problem with the missing iSSD appeared...

Just checked the ASUS site and the latest BIOS is now 202, released yesterday.

Just got the word from the local shop that they will be sending my computer back to ASUS. Solving the problem by rolling back the BIOS didn't work. :(

The issue as one person experienced it: the new BIOS prevents computer from booting, if iSSD is already dead. It does not kill the iSSD.

Can you tell us the manufacturer, model, and capacity of your iSSD?
