Hey guys, I currently have a Thinkpad W520, as well as a desktop, and I want something that is lighter.

I found one for about $900 that is manufactured refurbished.

How comparable is the build quality of the UX51 to business class notebooks?

What about the cooling? Does it overheat at all?

Is it very smart to switch from a Thinkpad to this? I'm mainly interested because it offers performance in a sleek chassis.

    Any opinions?

    Thanks!

I've had my UX51 for over a year and its been great to me. No overheating even when I game on it, while its not a gaming machine by any means it can still play them pretty well. Battery time has been very good. The biggest downfall is the 3rd gen core i cpu while most other computers now have 4th gen.
There have been some post around here about the NX500 with a 4K screen which looks to be the replacement for the UX51 models. If you're not in a hurry for a computer I'd wait to see what other details including a release date may come up.
