Been waiting for the G50 to land in UKland, and now I see the spec:

    15.6" TFT (1280x800, Colour-Shine),
    Intel® Core™2 Duo P8400 (2.26GHz), :(
NVidia GeForce 9700M GS DDR3, 512MB dedicated graphics memory, :)
    320GB (5400rpm),
    4096MB (2048x2) DDRII 800 RAM, :)
Blu-Ray Combo, Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium

I'm disappointed that there does not seem to be an option to go for a higher res screen, and only 1 drive. I can upgrade the drive I guess to a 7200rpm unit, and hope I can add another to get raid.

Is this similar to X1 in the us?

Anyone know whether higher res will be an option in the UK? Or back to plan A - buy an A1 from the US, and resign myself to not being able to type the £ sign...

    Thanks,

    Pete

Anyone? Really don't want to shell out £1000 and get a lower res screen
