How would you guys say these screens stack up vs something like the macbook pro in terms of color accuracy?

I'm really leaning towards the upcoming ul30vt for my on site photography laptop but would like to make sure the screen is atleast as good as the macbook pro's

UL model line is Asus budget-mid series.... they will not be using the quality of screens found in any of the MBP line with their high gamut LCDs. Not even close to "at least as good."

The UL series is going to be a good seller for Asus and a decent system, for its intended market and price point. However, if color gamut and reliable reproduction is important, you should very much look elsewhere and definitely in a higher price range :).

Does Asus have a high end 13 inch with switchable graphics and long battery life? (like the Sony Vaio Z?).

The thing about the Macbook Pro 13"s they really aren't the best screens out there and i wouldn't even call it a high gamut screen. While they are good the RGBLED (such as envy 13") screens are better. And even how good they are vs other LCD screens is not something easily judged. People automatically give Apple a free pass for how good their screens are

And the main thing is that it is a little on the high end for weight in the thin and light class
